Office complex designed for satellite usage

Units provide turnkey features for occupants

The Crexent Business Center, an executive suite concept that fits small business and agencies by providing a one-stop-shop in office services, has opened in Bonita Springs.
It is located in the Corporate Center on Riverview Center Boulevard.
Erica Woodham, administrator of personnel and marketing for Davie-based Crexent, said that major corporations are looking to open satellite offices in Southwest Florida.
"We fit the need for that type of client," said Woodham. "The clients that lease space don't want a huge office."
The center provides phone services, high-speed Internet, furniture, conference rooms, a receptionist and janitorial services. There is also a fitness center for tenants.
Although Bonita Springs has a high percentage of vacant office space, there is a difference in the concept of these offices because it caters to small businesses or people who no longer want to work from home. said Frank D'Alessandro of RE/MAX Realty Group.
"It's really not competing with vacant office space," said D'Alessandro, who is also a real estate columnist for The News-Press. "The demand for that is huge. It's just starting to be recognized on the West Coast. On the East Coast, it is very popular."
Center manager Donna Smith said the offices are ready to be utilized.
"All they need to do is bring their paper and their computers," said Smith, who said this is a less expensive alternative for both small businesses and major corporations. "We have the support staff that they don't have to hire."
The two-story building houses 92 offices. The offices range from 80 to 635 square feet.
The company is still in the process of finalizing the first tenant contracts. Smith expects the first tenants to move in by early August.
